Overview and Benefits
Rob Lowery, a certified USA Cycling Level 3 coach will run a summer camp focused on off-road biking skills in Anahola, Hawaii. Each day has a specific schedule and set of goals as described on the following page.
This camp is offered in 4 weekly sessions this summer limited to only 12 campers per session (ages 8 to 12).
Your child will ride away with a strong understanding of bike/body awareness, group ride etiquette, trail maintenance and its impact on our island, and the feeling of being stoked with new MTB friends! The campers will have the opportunity to help work on a special “dirt park” project where they will learn the foundational skills of jump/berm shaping! They will also be a part of the MTB KAUAI T-shirt contest where each camper will create a tshirt design and all MTB KAUAI members will vote on who will be the next club shirt and sticker design! They will also enjoy the experience working with multiple guest coaches, athletes, and trail builders!
