Thinking of visiting Kauai and you love mountain biking? Here are some things to consider:

• This is the current source for information regarding mountain biking on Kauai.  Several efforts have come and gone for mountain biking, and some sites are dated with their information.
• There are no mountain bike rentals on-island.  A few shops historically rented mountain bikes, and they no longer do so.  Many places rent cruisers and other bikers suitable for paved surfaces. Most of these rentals serve the Ke Ala Hele Coastal Path, which is an amazing paved multi-use path on along the east coast of Kauai.
• The trails we have are all community maintained and are not listed publicly online.  While we are working to open this up, right now you need a local to show you around…
• Kauai has incredible weather, but it is also unpredictable, especially in the mountains.  Things can get muddy in minutes.
• The trails are not professionally maintained, so take care.  And enjoy the incredible beauty of our island.
